Catch heading-hierarchy and missing-alt-text issues before you render a PDF. Treat compliance as a CI check on the source, not a remediation project on the output. Same checks run when you call POST /api/v1/md/validate or POST /api/v1/preview/validate.

This is pre-render input lint, not a PDF auditor. It runs the catalog rules and accessibility checks shared with /api/v1/md and /api/v1/preview. For an ISO PDF/A-2A + PDF/UA-1 audit on a finished PDF, use the hosted veraPDF utility.

Programmatic access: POST /api/v1/md/validate · POST /api/v1/preview/validate. Both authed (Bearer key or session cookie), 500 / hour, return { valid, issues[], summary }. See the API reference.
